Warmest Winter Heart

Snuggle up with a cozy new picture book by Marie Banville, from Bearberry Books. "Warmest Winter Heart" is a magical story, set in a snowy forest. It's all about warmth, kindness, and friendship - perfect for young readers and families across Canada and beyond.

Back cover reveal - with a short blurb to let you know what this book is all about!

Fluffy, fearless chickadees are everyone's favourite little bird during the cold winter months. They are tiny, but bold enough to snatch seeds from outstretched hands. This cheeky fellow flew in to grace the back cover.

Magic woven into every page

"Warmest Winter Heart" began as a spark of an idea - a vision of a tiny kid making a snow angel as chickadees perched in the branches above. Soon, a little grey mouse joined in as a best friend. Character sketches are always fun! After countless drawings, lots of planning and writing and rewriting, this cozy story finally came to life.

A big thank you to the best SCBWI critique group ever (huge hugs to my friends: Brittany, Deborah, Cayleen, Judith, and Paola).

A peek at what's next

A tiny girl picks sweet clover, splashes through puddles, and enjoys a wild and windy spring day in Bearberry Forest. She learns that making new friends is easy, but keeping them may be more challenging.

This bright and cheerful story introduces brand new characters, and a fresh palette of springtime colours.
